Determining your samples and how to sample can be a tricky process. It depends entirely on what information you need.

 

Below are some ideas of what information you may be seeking and how to sample for it. Use our sampling instructions to help guide you through the process

Farmers FAQ

How can I check how much CBD is in my hemp?


CBD is located in the trichomes of cannabis grown on the flower. You will want to sample flowers to determine the concentration of CBD. Submit a minimum of 2 grams.




How much total THC do I need to stay compliant?


Since the Nebraska Department of Agriculture will be sampling for the official state test, you will want to follow their guidelines (USDA Sampling Guidelines). Submit a minimum of 2 grams.




How do I check the variation of cannabinoids levels within a lot?


You will want to test multiple plants throughout the lot to under your variety. Take a sample from a plant and place that in a single bag by itself to be submitted. Submit a minimum of 2 grams.




How do I check the variation of cannabinoids levels within a single plant?


You will want to test multiple flowers throughout a single plant. Each flower should be bagged individually and submitted. 2 grams are not required since it will be limited by the mass of the flower.




How do I complete the official state test so I can start harvest within 15 days?


This must be coordinated with the Nebraska Department of Agriculture. We will give more guidance on this process as we communicate with the Department.




How can I reduce the drying time?


Try to leave freshly cut plant material out to dry at least overnight. We recommend placing it in the sun until packaging. You can also place samples in a paper bag to help absorb moisture.
